Job summary

American Family Care Thornton is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to deliver high‑quality care in a fast‑paced urgent care setting. You will perform histories, exams, orders, and manage patient flow with a focus on patient satisfaction.

Applicants must hold an active PA or NP license in Colorado, have 1 year ER/UC experience, and be board certified (ANCC/AANP or NCCPA). The role offers flexible scheduling and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice.
• 1 year of ER/UC experience.
• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified.
• Able to multitask and work independently.
• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete, detailed health histories, review patient records, and order appropriate labs and imaging.
• Formulate medical diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals to appropriate facilities.
• Institute emergency measures and stabilization in cardiac arrest, shock, or anaphylaxis.
• Interpret and analyze patient data to guide management and treatment.
• Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health promotion to patients and families.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
