Job summary

UCHealth Urgent Care Thornton Clinic is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for PRN coverage across multiple locations, including Thornton. The role focuses on high-quality patient care, rapid assessment and management of pediatric and adult patients in an urgent care setting.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of urgent care or ER experience and holds full prescriptive authority (for PAs). DEA permit, NCCPA/ANCC credentials for NP, and Colorado licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and PA-C certification (NCCPA) required.
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado.
• Prescriptive authority and NCCPA certification maintained throughout employment.
• Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications commonly prescribed.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessments.
• Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions with prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Counsel patients and families on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform preventive health assessments, screenings and immunizations.
• Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
