Job summary

Summit Health Management seeks a physician-led Scribe to document patient visits in the EMR, assist physicians, and support site operations in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will help manage patient flow, labs, and DOH compliance while delivering compassionate care to patients.

Ideal candidates include CNA/MA/EMT/Paramedic backgrounds with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED; undergraduate degree a plus.
• English language skills (speaking and writing) required.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Flexible with full-time work schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on location.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of the patient visit into the EMR in a timely manner.
• Assist the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Assist site management with directing patient flow, inventory, and following up on labs.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, x-rays or other facilities on site as needed.
• Maintain a quick pace in a fast-paced urgent care facility for the duration of scheduled shift.
