Job summary

Summit Health Management in New York's urgent care network seeks a Scribe Tech to capture accurate patient visit documentation in the EMR and assist physicians with basic care and procedures.

You will help direct patient flow, support lab processing, and ensure DOH compliance while maintaining a clean, courteous environment. This is a seasonal role with a 2027 end date and weekend availability; English fluency is required and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; MA program graduate considered a plus.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus, but not required.
• English language skills required; bilingual capability preferred based on site.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits in the EMR.
• Assist physicians with basic patient care and procedures.
• Direct patient flow and assist with lab processing and follow-up on labs.
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH regulations.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and diagnostic facilities as needed.
• Maintain a clean, courteous, professional environment.
