ChristianaCare | GoHealth Urgent Care in Maryland seeks a Medical Assistant to support urgent care clinicians. You will register patients, take vitals, draw blood, prep exam rooms, and perform point-of-care tests while ensuring a compassionate, efficient patient experience.

Requirements include a high school diploma and completion of a Medical Assisting program (preferred). BLS certification is required; MA certifications or EMT alternatives are accepted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• BLS certification required at hire time.
• MA certifications: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA or EMT alternative.
• Front desk experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and verify insurance and eligibility.
• Interview patients, record medical history and vital signs.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for labs.
• Prepare exam rooms for examinations.
• Perform point-of-care tests (flu, strep, UA, ECG, HCG).
• Stock supplies and maintain exam rooms and reception areas.
• Answer phones, process co-pays, schedule appointments.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and provide care team support.
• Open/close duties and maintain QA/QC logs.
