Job summary

ChristianaCare-GoHealth Urgent Care, LLC is hiring a Medical Assistant to support patient exams and front desk duties at our Newark, DE urgent care centers. You will take vitals, collect specimens and assist providers in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, MA program completion preferred, BLS certification, and MA certifications (CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA) or equivalent nursing background.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.
• One of the following MA certifications is required at the time of hire: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and manage check-in/insurance verification.
• Take vitals (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height) and record in charts.
• Draw blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and stock supplies.
• Perform point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG) as needed.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist front desk as needed.
• Maintain medical records and ensure chart accuracy.
