Job summary

Northwest Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant – Urgent Care to support urgent care providers with clinical and administrative tasks across our Tucson clinics. You will prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, assist with procedures, and document histories in the EMR, while ensuring HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA compliance.

You may travel between clinics to meet staffing needs and work 12-hour shifts, including some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in a healthcare setting as Medical Assistant required.
• Experience in clinical/urgent care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist with rooming patients; take vital signs and document in EMR.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures; ensure necessary supplies are available.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by provider.
• Perform administrative tasks such as check-in and patient documentation.
