Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is hiring a Medical Assistant for the Northwest Urgent Care - Float 1 in Tucson, AZ. The role supports urgent care providers by performing routine clinical tasks, taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with procedures.

You will document histories in EMR, maintain infection control, travel between clinics as needed, and help with patient flow in a fast-paced walk-in setting. 12-hour shifts including some weekends are available.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience in clinical, urgent care, or ambulatory care preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR and basic clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, and document in EMR.
• Assist with examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort.
• Administer medications and injections per provider's guidance.
• Travel between urgent care locations as needed for staffing.
• Maintain infection control and HIPAA compliance.
• Support patient flow and reduce wait times in a fast-paced setting.
