Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant / Medical Front Office to support clinical and front desk operations in a fast-paced team environment. You will assist providers with exams and procedures, take vitals, draw blood, manage EMR/EHR, handle patient flow, and perform administrative duties to ensure smooth daily clinic operations.

This full-time role requires completing an approved MA program or certification and a strong customer-service mindset to deliver

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; AND
• Completed an APPROVED (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
• OR Completed an UNAPPROVED (non-accredited) MA training program AND national certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA).

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams and procedures, including patient vitals, under supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and adheres to safety protocols.
• Performs blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• May perform splinting, casting, and physicals as required for urgent care.
• Maintains EMR/EHR documentation and ensures accurate patient records.
• Supports front-office duties: patient flow, charges, and payments.
