Job summary

Northwest Urgent Care in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support urgent care providers across multiple clinics. You will prepare patients, take vital signs, assist with procedures, and handle administrative tasks in a fast-paced walk-in setting.

The role requires 1–2 years of MA experience, CMA or RMA certification, and BCLS. Expect 12-hour shifts, some weekends, and travel between Harrison, Madera, and Houghton locations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a healthcare setting as a Medical Assistant
• 1–2 years in a clinical, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting preferred
• CMA-AAMA or RMA certification; BCLS required

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and room patients; take vital signs and histories in EMR.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing; ensure patient comfort.
• Support providers during exams; maintain supplies and equipment.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, swabs) under supervision.
• Administer medications and non-intravenous injections as directed.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and perform basic sanitization.
• Perform check-in, registration, and patient documentation tasks.
• Monitor patient flow and support efficient care delivery.
