Job summary

Hometown Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in both clinical and administrative duties. You will obtain patient histories, record vital signs, perform point-of-care tests, phlebotomy, and assist with examinations while maintaining patient privacy.

The role requires 1–2 years in a clinical setting, basic computer skills, and CPR certification. Travel to care centers within the designated region may be required, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years previous experience in a physician practice or clinic setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Ability to function independently with good clinical judgment.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform basic testing or screenings (vision, audio, urine drug screens, EKGs, pulmonary function tests).
• Perform phlebotomy for specimen collection and document results.
• Assist with exams and testing (pelvic exams, eye/ear irrigations, I&Ds).
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and ensure patient privacy.
