Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care in Arizona seeks an energetic Medical Assistant to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinic. You will support providers with exams, perform procedures, and ensure high-quality patient care in a setting prioritizing patients and staff wellbeing.

Required are a high school diploma (or GED) with verification, completion of an accredited MA program, and a CMA/CCMA/RMA certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and ability to verify degree transcripts.
• Completed an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or certification through AMT/NHA is required or acceptable alternative.
• If unaccredited MA program, must have national certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA).

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams and patient vitals under supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and provider direction.
• Performs blood draws and may collect urine for testing.
• May perform splinting, casting and sports physicals.
• Conducts wound care, ear lavage, and oxygen administration.
• Notifies provider of unusual patient occurrences and safety concerns.
