Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care in Arizona is looking for a proactive Medical Assistant to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment. You will support providers with exams, take patient vitals, manage procedures, and assist with front-office tasks as needed.

This role requires completing an approved MA program or equivalent with applicable certifications; you will perform blood draws, specimen collection, medication administration, and EMR/EHR proficiency while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; AND
• Completed an APPROVED (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
• OR a UNAPPROVED MA program WITH a National Certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA).

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams and patient care under supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Performs blood draws as directed by the provider.
• Collects urine samples for testing (including drug screens).
• Performs splinting, casting, and physicals as needed.
• Supports front office tasks and patient flow in the clinic.
