Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care in Arizona is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced team. The role involves supporting providers in exams, taking vitals, performing routine procedures, and handling front-office tasks as needed.

You will work in a patient-centered setting with a focus on safety, accuracy, and compassionate care. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, an accredited MA program or national certification, and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program or an unapproved program with national certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, including taking patient vitals.
• Administer medications per policy under provider direction.
• Case management includes blood draws and urine collections for testing.
• Perform splinting, casting, and sports physicals as required.
• Notify the provider on duty for unusual patient occurrences.
• Adhere to lab and accreditation policies and maintain LIS data entry.
• Cross-train for front office or back-office duties as needed.
