Job summary

Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care in Northern Virginia is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front desk operations. You will register patients, collect insurance information, process co-pays, prepare patients for exams, and help maintain efficient patient flow.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, a High School diploma, BLS, and certification eligibility. You will work a variety of shifts between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM, enjoy market-leading benefits, and join a team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required at time of hire).
• Certifications accepted: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA; or equivalents per listed options.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination and document medical history.
• Measure and record vital signs; report results to providers.
• Perform point-of-care testing and report results.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Maintain exam rooms; monitor inventory levels.
• Support front desk: phone management and patient communication.
• Complete opening/closing duties, including cash handling.
• Follow policies and perform additional duties as assigned.
