Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care in Northern Virginia is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front office operations. This role works closely with providers to deliver high-quality care while ensuring efficient patient flow and a welcoming experience for every patient.

Responsibilities include taking patient history, measuring vital signs, performing point-of-care testing, drawing blood, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with scheduling and front desk duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
• CPOE certification must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination by taking medical history and documenting in the medical record.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, height, weight).
• Perform point-of-care testing and report results to providers.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms; monitor inventory.
• Support front desk tasks and patient communication; follow safety policies.
