Job summary

Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care in Northern Virginia is seeking a Medical Assistant to support both clinical and front desk operations in a fast-paced urgent care environment. You will work closely with providers to deliver high-quality care while ensuring efficient patient flow and a welcoming experience for every patient.

The position requires 1 year of Medical Assistant experience and a valid BLS certification at hire. Certification must be obtained within 12 months if not currently certified.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year Medical Assistant experience.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Certification within 12 months if not currently certified.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination and document in the medical record.
• Measure vital signs and record results.
• Perform point-of-care testing and report results to providers.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Maintain exam rooms and inventory.
• Support front desk duties and patient communication.
• Complete opening/closing duties and daily reconciliation.
