Job summary

Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care in Northern Virginia is seeking a Medical Assistant to support both clinical and front office operations. You will work closely with providers to deliver high-quality care and ensure efficient patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The role requires at least 1 year of MA experience and BLS certification, with opportunities for career growth and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and incentive programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Minimum of 1 year Medical Assistant experience (required).
• BLS certification required at time of hire (AHA/ARC).
• Possession of or ability to obtain MA certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographics, insurance, and eligibility.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Obtain medical history and document accurately in the chart.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, height, weight).
• Perform point-of-care testing and report results.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms; monitor inventory.
• Document in the medical record; support front desk duties.
