Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a energetic Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will assist providers with examinations, perform vitals, draw blood, collect specimens and support front office as needed.

Candidates should have completing an approved MA program or national certification, with EMR/EHR proficiency and a commitment to high quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and a completed MA training program.
• National certification (CMA/CCMA/RMA) or approved MA program required.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR and capable of patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams and procedures including patient vitals under supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and follows safety protocols.
• Performs blood draws and may collect urine samples for testing.
• Supports front office tasks and patient flow as needed in urgent care.
• Maintains laboratory and CLIA-related duties and EMR documentation.
