Job summary

Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care in Gainesville, VA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front desk operations in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

You will register patients, obtain history, take vital signs, perform point-of-care testing, collect specimens, and assist providers to deliver high-quality care. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year MA experience and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographics, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination and document in the medical record.
• Measure vital signs and report results to providers.
• Perform point-of-care testing and draw blood for lab analysis.
• Maintain exam rooms and inventory; support front desk activities.
• Follow clinical, safety, and organizational policies.
