Job summary

Emerson Hospital’s Urgent Care Littleton unit is seeking a Medical Assistant/Coordinator to provide hands-on clinical support and assist with patient care plans, while helping maintain a smooth workflow in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, support front office staff, document in the EMR, and help ensure compassionate, efficient patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of a certified or registered medical assistant program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in urgent care or related healthcare setting preferred.
• Minimum 1 year phlebotomy experience with patients of all ages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in implementing patient care plans and procedures.
• Perform clinical duties, including vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKGs for patients of all ages.
• Support front office staff and office coordinators with administrative tasks.
• Accurately record patient demographics, schedules, and clinical information in the EMR.
• Ensure proper handling of laboratory specimens and assist with office and lab procedures.
