Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a friendly Medical Front Office Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients in a fast-paced clinic. You will manage patient flow, registrations, payments, and communications, ensuring accurate information and a positive patient experience.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of front desk experience in healthcare, proficiency with Windows-based software, and a strong customer service mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of registration/front desk experience in a medical setting.
• Typing and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Medical Front Office Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients in the clinic and is responsible for keeping patients and families informed of wait times, monitors the flow of patients, processes patients for discharge including preparing charges, collecting payment, obtaining signatures and issuing receipts.
• Monitors the flow of patients and places patients into rooms as needed.
• Completes insurance forms for registration to ensure proper reimbursement from payors.
• Maintains front office supplies and ensures proper functioning of equipment.
• Answers telephone with quality customer service and keeps waiting area clean and welcoming.
