Job summary

NextCare in Kingwood, Texas, is seeking a Medical Front Office Receptionist to join our fast-paced clinic. You will be the first contact for patients and families, handling check-ins, data entry, payments, and appointment coordination.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and two years in front office or registration in healthcare. Strong customer service, multi-tasking, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years experience in registration or front office in a physician's office, hospital emergency department and/or urgent care setting.
• Typing and computer proficiency in Windows based software.
• Ability to multi-task, provide quality customer service, prioritize and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Obtain personal and insurance data from the patient and inputs information into EMR system.
• Monitors the flow of patients, including placing patients into rooms as needed.
• Completes all necessary insurance forms for registration to ensure proper reimbursement from payors.
• Prepares daily deposit, reconciliation, and daily statistical information.
• Ensures an adequate stock of front office supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
• Answers telephone utilizing quality customer service skills.
• Ensures patient waiting area and restrooms are clean and reflect a positive image of NextCare.
• Manages patient appointments scheduled via the NextCare website.
