Job summary

Urgent Team in Jackson, TN is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to greet patients, manage registrations, and support both patients and medical staff.

The successful candidate will handle phone calls, check in/out patients, verify insurance information, collect payments, and maintain a clean, welcoming front desk. Prior experience in a medical office is preferred; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic computer software and the ability to learn electronic medical records.
• Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors and guide them through registration.
• Answer multi-line phones, file, fax, scan documents, and perform daily patient callbacks.
• Check in/out patients and assist clinical staff; close the office at the end of shift.
• Collect insurance information, verify demographics, process payments, post balances, and complete phone sheets.
• Maintain a neat, professional environment and adhere to health and safety procedures.
