Job summary

Urgent Team in Jackson, TN is seeking experienced Medical Receptionists to join our urgent care team. You will greet patients, activate patient files, and provide front-desk support to patients and medical staff.

Full-time shifts involve a rotating 36-40 hour week with 12-hour weekday shifts and alternating weekends; PRN options available. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn electronic medical records (EMR).
• Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors by name, assist with registration and check-in.
• Activate patient files and provide front-desk support to patients and medical staff.
• Answer multi-line phones, file, fax, scan documents and complete daily patient callbacks.
• Check in and discharge patients, assist clinical staff and close the office at end of shift.
• Collect insurance information, verify demographics, process payments and post balances.
• Maintain a neat, professional reception area and adhere to health and safety procedures.
