NextCare Urgent Care in Lawrence, KS is seeking a motivated Medical Front Office Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients and to support the clinic team in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires a high school diploma and at least two years of front office experience in a healthcare setting, with strong customer service and proficiency in EMR systems and Windows-based software. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Minimum two years in registration or front office in a physician's office, hospital emergency department or urgent care setting.
• Skills: Ability to multi-task, provide quality customer service, prioritize and think critically.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient personal and insurance data and input into EMR.
• Monitor patient flow and place patients into rooms as needed.
• Complete insurance forms for registration to ensure proper reimbursement.
• Handle daily deposits, reconciliation, and statistics.
• Maintain front office supplies and equipment.
• Answer phones with quality customer service.
• Keep waiting area and restrooms clean and presentable.
• Schedule patient appointments via the NextCare website.
• Notify back office of urgent medical concerns.
• Educate patients on NextCare services.
