Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a friendly Medical Front Office Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients in a fast-paced clinic. You will manage check-in, collect data, handle insurance forms, and coordinate with back office to keep patient flow smooth.

This role emphasizes excellent customer service, accuracy with EMR data, and teamwork. Full-time benefits include medical, 401(k) and shift differential in eligible locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum two years experience in registration or front office in a physician's office, hospital emergency department and/or urgent care setting.
• Typing and computer proficiency in Windows based software.

Responsibilities

• Obtain personal and insurance data from the patient and inputs information into EMR system.
• Monitors the flow of patients, including placing patients into rooms as needed.
• Completes all necessary insurance forms for registration to ensure proper reimbursement from payors.
• Prepares daily deposit, reconciliation, and daily statistical information.
• Ensures an adequate stock of front office supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
• Answers telephone utilizing quality customer service skills.
• Ensures patient waiting area and restrooms are clean and reflect a positive image of NextCare.
• Manages patient appointments scheduled via the NextCare website.
• Notifies back office immediately of any urgent medical concerns a patient may be experiencing.
• Educates patients on services offered by NextCare for their current or next visit.
• Prompts to clinic manager for any safety concerns and updates policies as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by policy.
