Qualifications

• Experience with insurance verification and medical billing in a medical office.
• Ability to explain costs to patients with clarity and empathy.
• Detail-oriented with strong numerical accuracy.
• Prior front desk or administrative experience in healthcare.
• Proficient with medical billing software and EMR systems.
• Commitment to HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage before services to prevent denials and maximize revenue.
• Explain costs and billing processes clearly to patients.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies before they affect revenue.
• Deliver exceptional service while handling payment matters to keep patients satisfied.
• Greet patients warmly and manage front desk flow, including scheduling and check-ins.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records.
