Job summary

Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin is seeking a Care Team Specialist (Urgent Care) to join a collaborative clinic team. The role supports clinical and administrative workflows, helps maintain patient flow, and coordinates care with Registered Nurses and providers.

Eligible for a $3000 incentive; 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week). The position emphasizes a patient-centered approach, organization, and clear communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must meet MA/LPN/EMT requirements as described.
• Must complete MA/LPN/EMT training and obtain national certification within six months or have 3 years MA experience with national certification.
• Certification from CCMA/AAMA/ARMA/NCCT or equivalent CME requirements.
• LPN must have WI license or obtain licensure within six months of employment.
• EMT must hold WI license and be EMT/AEMT/Paramedic.
• CPR/AED certification required within four months of employment.
• Ability to travel to various work sites with own transportation; valid Wisconsin driver license if operating a vehicle.
• One year of clinic/outpatient experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of MS Office, EMR systems; EPIC experience desirable; typing 30 WPM minimum.
• Knowledge of outpatient clinical administrative procedures; medical terminology and basic pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit preparation and patient flow monitoring.
• Rooming patients and obtaining histories and vital signs.
• Manage test results following protocols; support EPIC in-basket workflow.
• Assist with medical examinations and procedures; coordinate with RNs and providers.
• Review team/provider in-baskets and MyChart messages for assigned team.
