Job summary

Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) seeks a Care Team Specialist for Urgent Care to support clinical and administrative workflows in a fast-paced clinic.

Ideal candidates are trained as Medical Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, or EMTs with strong communication and organizational skills, and familiarity with EPIC and EMR systems. A comprehensive benefits package and joining incentive are offered.

Qualifications

• Must meet MA/LPN/EMT requirements as described and obtain national certification within six months or have equivalent experience.
• Must hold CPR/AED certification and obtain within four months of employment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic pharmacology is required.
• Experience with electronic medical records and scheduling systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit preparation and patient flow monitoring.
• Rooming patients and obtaining histories and vital signs.
• Manage certain test results following protocols.
• Support Epic in-basket workflow and return patient calls.
• Assist with medical examinations and procedures.
