Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking an Urgent Care Clinic Manager to run daily operations, lead a dynamic team of medical and administrative staff, and ensure outstanding patient experiences.

You'll supervise Medical Assistants, Receptionists, and X-Ray Techs, partner with providers, manage scheduling, payroll, and P&L, and drive KPIs while upholding HIPAA and OSHA compliance in a high-growth urgent care environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of healthcare management experience, preferably in urgent care.
• Strong leadership with coaching and staff retention.
• Clinical experience or Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
• Proficient in scheduling and payroll systems; EMR experience (Experity) preferred.
• Solid understanding of healthcare administration, compliance, and budget management.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor non-provider staff, cultivating service, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Manage day-to-day clinic operations, ensuring smooth patient flow, scheduling accuracy, and efficient resource use.
• Monitor KPIs such as wait times, patient satisfaction, staff turnover, and budget adherence.
• Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance and internal protocols.
• Handle recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, payroll, and performance management.
• Partner with regional leadership and report performance data and improvement plans.
• Oversee clinic finances, including budget control and P&L tracking.
• Support on the floor during peak hours.
