Job summary

UNC Health Urgent Care clinics in the Triangle region of NC are seeking per diem or float pool Nurse Practitioners (FNP) or Physician Assistants (PA) to join an interdisciplinary team. Providers treat episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and perform occupational health exams.

Candidates must complete an accredited NP or PA program, be licensed in NC or able to obtain licensure, and have strong communication skills. Per diem schedule is flexible, onsite at multiple NC locations.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Must see patients aged 4 months and older.
• NC licensure or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience in acute/urgent care or emergency settings preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located in the Triangle of NC, have Per Diem | Float Pool openings for Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners (FNP) OR Urgent Care Physician Assistants (PA). Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams.

Financial Package

• Competitive Per Diem Pay Rate

Ideal Candidate

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Experience working in an acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting preferred
• Must see patients 4 months of age and older
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting
• DOT Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required

Clinic Schedule

• 8:00am - 8:00pm (Sunday - Saturday)
• Plus, weekends & holidays
• Flexible, Per Diem | Float Pool Schedule
