Job summary

UNC Health’s urgent care network in North Carolina is seeking per diem or float pool Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to treat episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and provide occupational health services. Providers will be part of an interdisciplinary team with flexible schedules across multiple NC locations.

Ideal candidates have NP or PA certification, at least one year of APP experience in acute or urgent care settings, and NC licensure or ability to obtain.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Minimum one year APP experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting.
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting.
• DOT Certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required.

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located near Raleigh, NC, have Per Diem | Float Pool openings for Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners (FNP) OR Urgent Care Physician Assistants (PA). Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams.

Financial Package

• Competitive Per Diem Pay Rate

Ideal Candidate

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program


• Minimum one year APP experience working in an acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting required
