UNC Health Urgent Care Apex is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join an interdisciplinary team serving ages 4 months and up across multiple Triangle locations. Providers treat episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and perform occupational health exams with onsite X-ray and point-of-care testing.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• One to two year/s NP work experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting required
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients & collaborate effectively with team members
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting
• DOT Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required

Responsabilités

• Treat episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and provide occupational health services and exams.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide care at UNC Rex based UNC Urgent Care clinics and onsite X-Ray/POCT.
• Support a walk-in based clinic with reservation and wait time system.
• Operate in a shift-based model with onsite work locations in Apex, NC

Description

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located in the Triangle of NC, have Full-time openings for Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners (NP) at multiple locations. Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams. This is an employed position with UNC Rex and a shift-based model. Our provider team staffs our 9 UNC Rex based UNC Urgent Care clinics. We see ages 4 months of age and older. Our team includes RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians and APPs. We have on-site X-Ray and point of care testing. Our clinics are walk-in based with a reservation and wait time system.

• 8:00am - 8:00pm (Sunday - Saturday)
• Plus, weekends & holidays
