Job summary

UNC Health urgently seeks Urgent Care NP/PA to deliver episodic care and occupational health exams in a per diem/float pool role. Providers join an interdisciplinary team and work onsite across multiple NC locations, treating episodic illnesses and injuries with proficiency in suturing and splinting.

Minimum one year APP experience is required, with NC licensure or ability to obtain. Per diem schedule includes weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts, 8am–8pm coverage.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Minimum one year APP experience working in an acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting.
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide occupational health services and exams.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and establish patient rapport.
• Perform procedures including suturing and splinting.

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located near Raleigh, NC, have Per Diem | Float Pool openings for Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners (FNP) OR Urgent Care Physician Assistants (PA). Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams.

Financial Package

• Competitive Per Diem Pay Rate

Ideal Candidate

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Minimum one year APP experience working in an acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting required
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients & collaborate effectively with team members
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting
• DOT Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required
