Job summary

UNC Health Medical Group in Apex, NC, seeks a full-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary team serving patients aged 4 months and older. You will treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries and provide occupational health exams in a fast-paced setting at UNC Rex Urgent Care clinics.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Work experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting preferred.
• Must provide care to patients 4 months of age and older.
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting.
• DOT Certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required.

Job description

Description UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located in the Triangle of NC, have Full-time openings for Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners (NP) at multiple locations. Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams. This is an employed position with UNC Rex and a shift-based model. Our provider team staffs our 9 UNC Rex based UNC Urgent Care clinics. We see patients 4 months of age and older. Our team includes RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians and APPs. We have on-site X-Ray and point of care testing. Our clinics are walk-in based with a reservation and wait time system.

• Plus, weekends & holidays
