Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners (FNP) or Urgent Care Physician Assistants (PA) for Per Diem | Float Pool openings at clinics near Raleigh, NC. Providers join an interdisciplinary team to treat episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and deliver occupational health services and exams.

Ideal candidates have NP or PA training, NC licensure or ability to obtain, and comfort working in a fast-paced urgent care environment with required suturing and splinting procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting preferred
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain
• DOT Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries in urgent care settings
• Provide occupational health services and exams
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
• Perform required procedures such as suturing and splinting

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located near Raleigh, NC, have Per Diem | Float Pool openings for Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners (FNP) OR Urgent Care Physician Assistants (PA). Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams.

Financial Package:

• Competitive Per Diem Pay Rate

Ideal Candidate:

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Experience working in an acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting preferred
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients & collaborate effectively with team members
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting
• DOT Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required

Clinic Schedule:

• 8am to 8pm - Sunday - Saturday
• Plus, weekends & holidays
• Flexible, Per Diem | Float Pool Schedule
• Locations: Multiple Locations
