Job summary

UNC Health Medical Group seeks qualified Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for Per Diem | Float Pool roles across multiple NC locations. Providers treat episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and deliver occupational health services in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Completion of an accredited NP or PA program with NC licensure or the ability to obtain is required. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited NP or PA program.
• Experience in acute/urgent care, primary care, or ER preferred.
• NC licensure or ability to obtain licensure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• DOT Certification.
• OSHA knowledge preferred but not required.

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located near Raleigh, NC, have Per Diem | Float Pool openings for Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners (FNP) OR Urgent Care Physician Assistants (PA). Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams.

Financial Package

• Competitive Per Diem Pay Rate

Ideal Candidate

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Experience working in an acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting preferred
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients & collaborate effectively with team members
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting
• DOT Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required

Clinic Schedule

• 8am to 8pm - Sunday - Saturday
• Plus, weekends & holidays
• Flexible, Per Diem | Float Pool Schedule
• Locations: Multiple Locations
