Job summary

American Family Care Norwood seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver high-quality care within the scope of training and approved by the board. You will collaborate with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and satisfaction at a franchised AFC location.

Responsibilities include comprehensive histories, diagnostics, diagnoses, emergency care, and patient education. Benefits include health/dental insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
• Able to multi-task and work independently

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive health histories, review records, and order labs/diagnostics as appropriate.
• Formulate medical/nursing diagnoses and refer patients as needed.
• Institute emergency measures and stabilize in emergencies.
• Interpret patient data to guide management and treatment.
• Provide health-care guidance to patients and families.
• Other duties as assigned
