Job summary

Mastery Schools in Philadelphia is seeking an Arena Assistant Principal of School Culture to drive a positive, achievement-focused environment. You will coach teachers, oversee culture initiatives, and engage families and the community to strengthen school culture.

Responsibilities include leading a culture team, implementing restorative practices, and coordinating extracurriculars to boost student engagement and leadership across campus.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in urban school settings.
• Strong understanding of restorative practices and SEL frameworks.
• Proven ability to engage families and diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of Mastery’s school culture model to foster safe, inclusive, achievement-focused environment.
• Develop and manage a culture team to improve attendance, behavior, and climate.
• Oversee systems for positive reinforcement, accountability, and discipline.
• Direct restorative justice approaches emphasizing accountability and growth.
• Plan and run extracurriculars to boost engagement and leadership.
• Strengthen parent and community partnerships.
• Coach teachers on classroom management and school-wide expectations.
• Provide professional development to sustain a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with instructional leaders to align culture with academics.
• Ensure consistent leadership presence across the school.
• Lead crisis prevention and safety intervention training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
