Job summary

Mastery Charter Schools seeks an Assistant Principal of School Culture (APSC) on assignment to lead restorative, culture-focused initiatives across campuses in Philadelphia and Camden. Reporting to the Principal, the APSC will guide teachers and deans, foster community involvement, and sustain an achievement-driven culture.

Responsibilities include coaching staff in classroom management, overseeing student discipline within a restorative framework, and coordinating extracurriculars and family

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience in urban or charter schools is desirable; teaching experience preferred.
• Minimum five years in urban communities; at least three years in urban school admin or counseling/youth work.

Responsibilities

• Coach teachers in effective classroom management and provide PD aligned to Mastery model.
• Drive Mastery vision to sustain a positive, achievement-focused culture.
• Analyze culture data and create action plans.
• Lead a Deans of Students team to support students and teachers.
• Oversee extracurriculars and school events; coordinate family engagement.
• Implement restorative discipline and safe, accountable school climate.
