Job summary

Mastery Schools seeks an Assistant Principal of School Culture (APSC) on assignment to develop leadership across its Philadelphia and Camden campuses. The role focuses on instructional, cultural, and behavioral leadership, coaching teachers, and bridging school culture with academics.

The APSC will support leadership continuity during campus transitions and collaborate with parents, administrators, and students to foster achievement and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in public or charter schools is desirable; teaching experience preferred.
• Minimum five years in urban communities; urban admin or counselor/youth worker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach teachers in effective classroom management and provide professional development.
• Drive and support implementation of school culture vision to ensure a positive, achievement-focused environment.
• Analyze culture data and create actionable plans.
• Manage Deans of Students to provide student support and instructional strategies.
• Oversee discipline within a restorative justice framework.
