Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Bartender to greet customers, take drink orders, mix cocktails, and serve beverages while ensuring high-quality service. You will communicate ticket times to staff and manage transactions following cash handling policies, with attention to upselling opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year of bartending experience, preferably in high-volume or fast casual environments.
• Knowledge of beer, wine and spirits and their presentation.
• Ability to interact with the public in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and policies.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and takes orders, upsells where appropriate.
• Follows recipes and product directions for mixing beverages.
• Collects payments and operates cash registers following company policies.
• Adheres to alcohol awareness procedures and manages intoxicated guests.
• Follows HMSHost customer service and cash handling policies.
• Maintains a clean, sanitized and well-stocked bar.
