HMSHost in Hawaii (Lihue) is seeking a Bartender to greet guests, take orders, and craft cocktails and beverages. You will handle payments, manage timings, and ensure the highest level of service in a fast-paced environment.

This non-exempt role reports to management and focuses on guest satisfaction and efficient operations. The position requires at least 1 year of bartending experience, knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
• At least 1 year of bartending experience in high-volume or fast casual settings.
• Knowledge of beer, wine and spirits and related recipes.
• Ability to interact with the public in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and policies.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• Hands frequently in water or chemical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take orders; upsell products where appropriate.
• Follow recipes and directions for beverage preparation.
• Collect payments and operate cash registers per policies.
• Adhere to alcohol awareness procedures; manage intoxicated guests.
