Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Sushi Cook in a high-volume, upscale dining establishment.
• Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation, techniques, and ingredients.
• Strong knife skills and ability to work with precision and speed.
• Positive attitude and ownership of the position.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of sushi dishes including sashimi, nigiri, and maki rolls
• Ensure all sushi items are prepared with the highest quality ingredients and presented beautifully
• Maintain a clean and organized sushi station
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Monitor food stock and place orders as needed
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure a seamless flow of service
• Assist in developing new menu items and specials
• Provide exceptional hospitality and engage with guests when necessary
