Job summary

Mainsail Lodging & Development is seeking enthusiastic servers to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will greet guests, explain menu items, and provide wine recommendations while maintaining a polished, professional presence in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with ease. Prior hospitality experience and familiarity with POS systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospitality experience in a serving role preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with tablets, iPads, computers, and POS systems.
• Wine and liquor knowledge.
• Ability to work well in a Front of House team.
• Experience describing dishes and beverages to guests.
• Maintain clean, organized work stations.
• Takes ownership of tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests efficiently and courteously following standard service steps.
• Set up tables with required service items.
• Maintain knowledge of current menu items and ingredients.
• Bus tables quickly and quietly; ensure thorough cleaning.
• Upsell menu items and pair wines with meals.
• Ensure proper table setup and service during meals.
• Participate in dining room and service station cleaning.
• Attend departmental meetings and standups.
• Follow cash handling procedures and explain discrepancies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
