Job summary

Mainsail Lodging & Development is seeking enthusiastic servers to deliver exceptional dining experiences under the Autograph Collection standard. This role requires hospitality passion, strong service mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with Front of House teams in a fast-paced setting.

Based in our Macon, GA property, you will greet guests, explain menu items, upsell where appropriate, and maintain a clean, organized service area while upholding brand standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher.
• Experience in hospitality, preferably as a server.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to use technology (tablets, iPads, computers, POS).
• Beverage knowledge (wine and liquor).
• Ability to work on a team with Front of House staff.
• Experience describing dishes and beverages to guests.
• Ability to work in a clean, organized, efficient manner.
• Ownership mindset in your work.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests efficiently and courteously following steps of service.
• Set up tables with items needed for service (flatware, drinkware, condiments, linens).
• Maintain knowledge of current menu items, ingredients, preparation, accompaniments, and sauces.
• Bus tables quickly and thoroughly clean.
• Upsell menu items and pair wine with meals.
• Ensure tables are properly set up during meal periods.
• Participate in daily cleaning of dining room and service stations.
• Attend monthly department meetings and daily standups.
• Follow cash handling procedures, explain shortages and overages.
• Other duties as assigned.
