Job summary

Hilton Milwaukee's Miller Time Pub is seeking a dedicated server to deliver a premier dining experience with warmth and professionalism. You will greet guests, present menus, guide selections, take accurate orders using POS, and ensure timely course delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include at least two years of upscale serving experience, availability on Fridays and Saturdays, strong wine and spirits knowledge, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• Two years of serving experience in upscale or fine-dining settings.
• Must be available to work Fridays and Saturdays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guest anticipation.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairings; able to describe items, vintages, regions, and prep.
• Ability to obtain government licenses; TIPS certification preferred.
• Able to carry trays up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Basic math for handling payments and calculating checks.
• Proficient in English for guest communication and documentation.
• Manual dexterity for handling service ware and dining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, and guide selections with expert knowledge.
• Take accurate orders and enter them via POS system.
• Deliver courses in proper order with timely service.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, wine list, cocktails, and daily specials.
• Prepare and maintain service stations with necessary supplies.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests promptly.
• Handle cash, cards, and checks per procedures.
• Keep dining areas clean and comply with health/sanitation standards.
• Follow all regulations related to food safety and alcohol service.
• Assist with bar service or private dining as needed.
