This role delivers food and beverages with exceptional service, balancing order-taking, menu presentation, and course delivery in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.

The position emphasizes guest satisfaction, knowledge of the wine list and cocktails, accurate POS handling, and teamwork in a dynamic, upscale setting in downtown Milwaukee.

Qualifications

• At least two years of serving experience in an upscale or fine-dining setting.
• Available to work Fridays and Saturdays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairings; able to describe items, vintages, regions, and preparation methods.
• TIPS certification preferred.
• Able to carry trays up to 35 lbs and stand/move in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and checks.
• Proficient in English for guest communication and written documentation.
• Manual dexterity for dining room equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, and guide selections with expert knowledge.
• Take accurate orders and enter them using the POS system.
• Deliver courses in proper order with timely service.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, wine list, cocktails, and daily specials.
• Prepare and maintain service stations and stock needed items.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests promptly and courteously.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and guest checks accurately.
• General cleaning tasks and maintaining dining room cleanliness to health standards.
• Follow state, federal, and corporate regulations related to food safety and alcohol service.
• Assist with bar service, private dining, or other duties as assigned.
