Job summary

The Biltmore Company in Asheville is seeking a Retail Sales Lead Associate for the Biltmore Estate. The role emphasizes selling, exceptional guest service, and mastery of POS functions to support shop operations and growth.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, inventory monitoring, and guiding new hires with on-the-job training; evening and weekend availability is required. Starting pay is $18.62 per hour, with opportunities for advancement based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma strongly preferred; additional education or training a bonus.
• At least 1 year of related guest service experience; equivalent education/experience considered.
• World-class guest service mindset; leadership skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional guest service experience for every guest.
• Develop proficiency and accuracy in POS register operations.
• Maintain an expanded sales focus with up-selling and cross-selling.
• Monitor and replenish merchandise levels and assist with inventory control.
• Assist supervisor with floor coverage, radio calls, and break schedules.
• Serve as Authorized Approver for merchandise returns and voids.
• Create purchase orders for outside vendors (Coke, Wine, Beer, Plants, etc.).
• Provide consistent Retail OJT to new hires.
• Assist with opening and closing shops, including setup and end-of-day tasks.
• Provide general support to department, leadership and the company.
